Good morning!

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow.  Are you one that loves or hates this holiday? A short blog today with just a little Valentine’s activity for anyone.

If you love the holiday and are celebrating with someone special, whether it is a best friend, group of friends, family member, or significant other, this activity will just help to strengthen any of those relationships. Simply draw a nice big heart and write down everything that you are grateful for in that person or group of people.  Decorate the heart if you wish but use this heart to focus on each of those items throughout the day or weekend.  If you are comfortable, share this heart with this person or people. Let them know how grateful you are they are in your life.

For those that really struggle with this day, draw an even bigger heart and use the heart to focus on yourself.  Fill the heart with everything you love about who you are, no matter how big or small that is, fill up that heart.  Focus on finding that gratitude within yourself and for yourself.  Read through everything you wrote on that heart throughout that day/weekend followed by your mantra if you completed week one. Work on changing your focus on all of the down sides you feel this holiday provide. Focus instead on increasing your output to increase your input.   What you put out will come back.

If you fall in between these two groups, you love the holiday, but you are taking the day to just relax and focus on your own well-being, use the heart to write a combination of the two activities above.
