Happy Saturday morning!
Wow! What week this has been! Certainly not one that has been easy to focus on gratitude, but it is still out there! You can certainly find the little things no matter how gloomy things get. Take these flowers. It is January 9, 2021 in Northeast Ohio. There have already been multiple snowstorms, one leaving almost two feet of snow. Yet here they are blooming through it all.

So can you! I get it, it is not easy. Some days we just need to focus on the small things. We will not have huge obvious moments to show are gratitude for on a daily basis. Most days will just be those small items that help to see us through. Whether it is flowers blooming in the middle of winter, or a stranger waiving as they walk by, or you just got out of bed and got dressed. It will just take time to start seeing those little things. Once we start finding those little things, we can start blooming through any gloom.
You may seem skeptical right now, but try to remember a time where one little thing happened that just made your day? Someone left a nice note, your coffee tasted extra empowering, there was no line at a store and suddenly the day seemed to flow much easier from there. It is not that these little things do not happen everyday, but just noticing them for even an instance caused you to focus on that little thing. That moment of focus then affected your whole outlook on the day. I am certain you can remember a time of the exact opposite where something little ruined your whole day. As you will see me mention many times on this site, changing your output changes your input. This is the Law of Attraction at work. That fleeting moment of focus of gratitude for that small token changed your output thereby changing the input you received for the rest of the day.
So let’s work on blooming today! Focus on each and every little thing that makes you smile or even just makes you think “hmm, that’s pretty cool.” Take a moment longer than usual to focus on that small thing. A hundred small things add up to one really large focus point.
One way that I’m going to use to help with my blooming, is to go through the six-week challenge myself. I may have written those challenges, but I still need to practice them as well. I will be starting with week one and will be back next Saturday to give an update on how my week went. Hop on over to the six-week challenge and join me! I would love to hear from everyone next week how the week went!
